THE BOYS OF SIXTY YEARS Meeting with author Romolo Bugaro Presentation by Stefano Colmagro The book's protagonists are baby-boomers who have seen a lot of water pass under the bridge, but, to their good fortune or misfortune, have kept their vital charge intact. At the age of sixty, they continue to ride around on scooters, meet friends at pizzerias, drink aperitifs in the square (or wish they did) exactly as they did forty years earlier, because they do not know how to think of themselves in any other way. They have wives, children, jobs as lawyers or business consultants or brokers, but they constantly feel a sense of bewilderment before the reality of their adult lives. A reportage on the new condition of men and women, suddenly free of time, which is not only addressed to those in their sixties, but also to others, those who have yet to get to their sixties and those who have already passed them, because in the new millennium all ages belong to everyone.
